The InterContinental Singapore X Claire Luxton Collaboration
The InterContinental Singapore x Claire Luxton collaboration celebrates art and luxury. Luxton’s bespoke digital artwork depicts native flora and fauna from worldwide destinations where InterContinental hotels can be found. From Singapore’s Emerald Swallowtail Butterfly to Australia’s endemic Kangaroo Paw, each location features unique artwork that captures the essence of the destination.
The collaboration also includes a whimsical pop-up in the InterContinental Singapore lobby, where Luxton’s NFTs come to life in a 2m-by-2m organza floral display. Guests are invited to explore and learn more about the collaboration and indulge in a Claire-Luxton-inspired cocktail, mocktail, or tart created by the hotel’s Executive Pastry Chef Desmond Lee and mixologist Dora Amurao. The Secret Garden cocktail mixes Lavender Infused Gin, Sambuca, Banana Liqueur Giffard Farfait Amour, Lemon Juice, and Hibiscus Syrup Passion Fruit Foam, while the Bloom and Blossom present an alcohol-free version of the drink. The Rosella tart is a delicious combination of citrus sponge cake, sable biscuit, elderflower mousse, raspberry and rosella marmalade, and lime sauce.
The Immersive Experience
From March 2023, InterContinental Singapore guests and visitors can enjoy an array of immersive experiences curated in partnership with Claire Luxton. The lobby pop-up is just the beginning. Luxton’s artwork is also displayed throughout the hotel, including in-room installations that showcase her unique vision.
F&B Delights
We enjoyed trying out the culinary offerings inspired by Claire Luxton’s artwork during our visit to InterContinental Singapore. The Secret Garden cocktail is a refreshing mix of Lavender Infused Gin, Sambuca, Banana Liqueur, Lemon Juice, and Hibiscus Syrup Passion Fruit Foam, with Claire Luxton’s artwork displayed on top of a Mixed Berries Bubble Foam. A smoked berry bubble is gently popped over the top of the drink during serving to create a sweet-smelling atmosphere. The glass is perfect for those who enjoy floral and fruity flavours with a hint of sweetness. Bloom and Blossom is an alcohol-free version of the Secret Garden cocktail, giving you the same floral and fruity experience. The Rosella Tart is a delicious combination of citrus sponge cake, sable biscuit, elderflower mousse, raspberry, and rosella marmalade. The tart is sweet and tangy, perfect for those with a sweet tooth. The yuzu cream and lime sauce gives the dish a refreshing twist. Overall, the F&B offerings complement the Claire Luxton collaboration full of whimsical floral and fauna fun.
