European cheese delights
On 12th October ’16, we got to try out some European cheese delights at Saint Pierre. Chef Emmanuel Stroobant gave a demonstration on the basics of cheese-making, then we moved on to try some delights made with European cheese which can be found at La Petite Boutique. The cheeses were paired carefully with fruits and other ingredients that complemented the cheese profiles. We got to taste these treats being prepared at the live cooking stations:
- Morbier, Vin Jaune, Cherries, Cherrywood
- Steamed Ratte Potato, Chorizo dust, Reblochon, Shallot
- Emmental, Basil Extraction, Live Nitro-Strawberry Sorbet
- Fried Lemon Grass salad, Carrot Puree, Gouda, Spring Roll
