After a couple of Coffee & Cravings Meetup events at Bridge, it’s easily one of our favourite weekend brunch spots. And recently we got to try their European inspired dinner menu that consists of dishes made with fresh produce and exquisite ingredients.
Apart from the delicious taste of Bridge’s dinner dishes, we love the chef’s attention to detail and range of flavours within each course. The Heirloom Tomato Mozzarella ($16++) appetiser, has a pretty average name for a dish that consists of 8 types of tomatoes, caviaroli (olive oil & tomato molecular caviar), mozzarella, tomato power, olive powder and kalamata emulsion. This refreshing appetiser is a great start to any meal.
The pan seared Foie Gras appetiser is great value at just $18++, with citrus, balsamic reduction and candied hazelnuts.
Even with just 5 main courses on the dinner menu, it’s hard for us to pick our favourite.
One specialty would be the New Zealand Blue Cod ($29++). The scales on this cod can be eaten and has a fabulous crispy texture. The fish sits atop a bed of tasty savoy cabbage (veges never tasted this good!) and the dish looks like a garden pond with spinach lily pads and lovely flowers floating in yuzu bouillon. Gotta love the intricate detailing!
Lobster fans would love the sous vide Whole Boston Lobster ($48++) that sits on kombu couscous mixed with diced squid, extra virgin olive oil and squid ink foam. Succulent fresh sweet lobster flesh… need I say more? This is served in limited quantities every evening, so try to get in early.
Meat lovers would enjoy the Australian Wagyu Ribeye ($48++) with slow-cooked cherry tomatoes, truffle jus, home-made red onion jam, carrot garden and pea puree. Not only does the dish incorporate multiple textures and flavours, the artistic presentation is definitely Instagram worthy!
Last but not least of the mains we tried at Bridge, the Truffle Chicken ($26++) uses organic-fed chicken breast but the flesh is so tender it could easily be mistaken as chicken thigh. Served with earl grey barley, eryngii mushrooms, natural jus and egg yolk jelly on the side.
To finish off our meal, we had the Deconstructed Cheesecake ($14++) for dessert. No matter how many times we try this dessert, it’s light refreshing texture has us going back for more! The airy lemon cream cheese hides the raspberry parfait and salted caramel ice cream beneath so that you get a taste surprise as you dig in.
Tucked along Seah Street, Bridge is a short walk from City Hall MRT and a great central location to meet up with friends.
Enjoy the four-course dinner set at just $55++ per person, consisting of a soup, appetiser, main and dessert (Lobster and Wagyu ribeye mains are available for an additional $20). Dinner sets come with complimentary Aqua Panna or San Pellegrino.
